Individualized dental care includes general and preventive, periodontal, cosmetic, and restorative treatment. Dr. Pavithra Balasubramanian, DMD, a family dentist fondly known as “Dr. B.” to her patients, has a passion for serving all members of your family, from those starting with a child's first teeth to seniors.

Dr. Pavithra Balasubramanian, DMD has been serving the dental needs of the Chester County community for a decade and finally followed her dream of practice ownership. She is committed and excited to be serving the Berwyn community. She graduated dental school in India in 2007 and moved to the United States to follow her passion for dentistry, acquiring her DMD from the Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University in 2014. She went on to pursue a hospital-based General Practice Residency at Lehigh Valley Health Networks, Allentown, where she trained in treating medically compromised patients and complex dental procedures focusing on cosmetic dentistry, implant restorations and full mouth rehabilitations.
Dr. B. loves helping her patients perfect their smile, but what is more important to her is making the journey comfortable and enjoyable. Her true joy is pediatric dental care, and she looks forward to helping her little patients.
She is an eternal student and dedicates her time to countless hours of continuing education every year, keeping abreast with the latest procedures, techniques, and technology in the dental field.
When she is not at the office Dr. B. enjoys traveling, cooking, baking pies and spending time with family. She is also an animal lover with a fondness for the outdoors.

Tammy has been dedicated to the dental field for over 35 years and is driven by her passion for creating healthy and confident smiles. She finds joy in helping our patients achieve their best smiles and values the personal connections she builds with each person. Tammy loves every aspect of her job, managing the day-to-day operations and getting to see patients leave the office smiling.
Happily married and a proud mother of two grown sons, in her spare time Tammy enjoys reading and cherishing moments with her family.

The design esthetic here is an oasis of calm. Patients tell us they feel the ambiance of soothing shades of green and cream is home-like and welcoming. The gourmet coffee bar in the reception area, television and fireplace surrounded by welcoming environment says, “come in and stay awhile.” Dr. B. has also been known to serve an occasional tray of cookies… chocolate chips are her favorite! Inside the dental suites, you’ll find an array of high-tech equipment and televisions for the patients.

Berwyn Family Dentistry is located on the second floor, suite 201, within a freestanding building located at 1301 Lancaster Avenue in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. Just a few steps from the Daylesford Train station on the Paoli-Thorndale SEPTA Regional Rail line.
Do you provide 24/7 emergency care?
Yes, we do provide emergency services for true dental emergencies. Patients may call our emergency line to have their emergency assessed.

Do you improve smile through porcelain veneers?
Yes, these custom-created very thin porcelain shells perfect the look of teeth by closing gaps, whitening, and improving irregularly shaped or misaligned teeth.
Do you provide digital smile makeovers?
Yes, we can take images of your current smile and show you the possibilities for perfecting it.
Do you treat Children?
Yes, we are a family practice. We treat children as young age 2.
Are there financing options?
Yes, we offer Care Credit with interest-free financing, to make paying for your dental care convenient and affordable.
Is there an in-house payment plan?
Yes, through the Berwyn Savings Plan, members who do not have dental insurance can pay a membership fee and access care and discounts on treatment provided.
Do you accept medicare or medicaid?
No, not at this time.
How often should I get my teeth cleaned?
We recommend cleanings every six months to best prevent oral health issues
and save you money in the long run.
Do you offer pain-free dentistry?
Dr. B. goes the extra mile in thoroughly numbing areas of the mouth she’s working on and providing nitrous oxide when necessary. She won’t begin work until she’s sure you’re comfortable. Patient anxiety is lessened in the calm and tranquil environment.
